Privacy Policy

Every calculation on this site runs in your browser. Your salary, your mortgage balance, what your business earns — none of it is sent to a server, because there is no server involved in the arithmetic. Close the tab and it is gone.

This is not a promise about how carefully we store your data. It is a statement that we do not have it.

You cannot sign up, log in, or create a profile, so there is no name, email address or password associated with your use of the calculators. We do not ask you to identify yourself and we have no way to.

We measure how the site is used so we know which calculators are worth improving. That measurement is deliberately coarse:

• Which calculator was opened, and which category it belongs to.
• That an input was changed, and which field it was — the field “Home price”, never the price you entered.
• That a result settled, with the answer bucketed into a broad range such as “under $5,000”. The figure itself is never recorded. It is useful to know that people mostly calculate mid-sized mortgages; what any one person owes is none of our business.
• That a search was run, with the number of characters typed and the number of results — never the query itself, because a query can contain anything.
• Standard web analytics: pages viewed, approximate location from a truncated IP address, device type, browser, and how you arrived.

Analytics are provided by Google Analytics, configured with IP anonymization. Google’s handling of that data is governed by their own privacy terms.

The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Analytics sets cookies to recognise a returning browser and to count a visit once rather than twice; these identify a browser, not a person.

Some interface preferences — a chosen tab, an expanded section — are kept in your browser’s local storage. That data never leaves your device and is not readable by us.

Blocking cookies will not stop the calculators working. Nothing on this site depends on them.

Parts of this site may carry advertising. Ad networks generally set their own cookies and may use them to show advertisements based on your browsing across other sites. That relationship is between you and the ad network; their policies govern it, not ours.

What advertisers never receive from us is anything you typed into a calculator, because we do not have it to give.

Cloudflare serves the site and, as any host does, processes the requests your browser makes, including your IP address, in order to deliver pages and block abuse.

Google Analytics processes the usage events described above.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the providers needed to run the site.

Depending on where you live — for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the GDPR in the UK and EU — you may have the right to ask what personal information is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing.

You can exercise those rights by writing to hello@numorox.com. In practice our answer to a request for your data is usually that we hold none: without accounts and without the figures you enter, there is very little to return. Where a request concerns data held by Google Analytics, we will help you direct it appropriately.

You can also opt out of analytics entirely using the browser controls or extensions of your choice. The site works identically either way.

This site is intended for adults making financial decisions. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If this policy changes in substance, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
