These are estimates. They are built carefully, tested, and shown with their formulas — and they still cannot know your circumstances.
This is not advice
Nothing on numorox.com is financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. NUMOROX is not a lender, broker, bank, investment adviser, accountant or law firm, and using this site creates no professional relationship of any kind.
Every figure is an estimate
A calculator takes the numbers you give it and applies a stated formula. It does not know your credit history, your employer’s payroll rules, your state’s tax code, your lender’s underwriting, or the condition of the house you are about to buy.
Where a calculator makes an assumption, that assumption is written on the page beside the result. Read them. They are the difference between a number that applies to you and a number that applies to somebody.
Rules and rates change
Tax rates, contribution limits, lending programme rules and thresholds change, sometimes more than once a year and often by jurisdiction. Where a calculator depends on a figure of that kind, it asks you to enter it rather than assuming one, precisely so that a number going out of date cannot quietly give you a wrong answer.
Where a figure is fixed in law and stable — the point at which mortgage insurance must be cancelled, the overtime threshold in the Fair Labor Standards Act — the source is cited on the page that uses it.
Projections are not forecasts
Anything that projects forward — compound growth, a retirement balance, a rent-against-buy comparison — assumes a constant rate of return. No real market delivers a constant return, and the order in which good and bad years arrive changes the outcome substantially for anyone drawing money down.
Past performance does not indicate future results. A projection is a way of thinking about a decision, not a prediction of what will happen.
When to speak to somebody
Before signing a mortgage, accepting a loan, buying a business, filing a return, or moving retirement money: talk to a professional who can look at your whole position. Use these calculators to arrive at that conversation informed and with better questions.
If you think something is wrong
Tell us. Write to hello@numorox.com with the calculator, the figures you entered and what you expected. A reported error gets a test written for it, which is how it stays fixed.
